NavINST Lab is equipped with two different wireless network standards. IEEE 802.11g/Wi-Fi and IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee compliant RF transceiver both are operating at the 2.4GHz ISM band (The Industrial, Scientific and Medical band). A ZigBee TI CC2530 is a system-on-chip (SoC) which has embedded micro-controller based on 8051 microprocessor architecture.  A Laptop is connected to a receiver node through serial-USB adapter based on FT232R-USB UART. IEEE 802.11g access point (AP) model Linksys Wireless-G WRTL-54GL equipped with two vertical dipole antennas.
